2015 National Gathering – Simultaneous Translation and Scholarships Are Available!

We hope many will join us at our 2015 National Gathering.  The planning team is hard at work planning a great event.   We will be focusing our time on the theme of "Crossing Boundaries in Religious Life" Lots of dynamic sharing on current issues in religious life and connecting with your peers will take place.  Our gathering will be held at the Savior Pastoral Center in Kansas City, Kansas.

Our speakers will be Sophia Park, SNJM and Teresa Maya, CCVI.  Both promise to provide us with information that will further our conversations and keep us thinking.  Sophia is an Assistant Professor of Religious Studies and Philosophy at Holy Names University in Oakland, California. Her writing focuses on biblical spirituality, cross-cultural spiritual directions and religious life from a global feminist perspective.  Teresa is the Congregational Coordinator of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word in Texas, Mexico, Zambia and Peru.  She is an expert speaker on building a globalized, intercultural church and pastoral challenges facing Latino communities.

We will offer simultaneous translation allowing English and Spanish speaking participants to share in their own language. The Hilton grant allows us to expand our offering of simultaneous translation in other languages.  If there are enough people requesting translation in a particular language, please let us know by May 1 on your registration form.  If you are in need of scholarship funds, please contact S. Rejane Cytacki at  rjcytacki@hotmail.com.

Registration on Thursday, August 6, 2015 will be from 3:30-5:30 pm and we plan to end around lunchtime on Sunday, August 9, 2015.  We look forward to sharing with many of you in Kansas!
