No matter how I come to a Giving Voice event, I go forth somehow both lighter and more grounded.  The recent 20s and 30s retreat on the theme of prophetic hope was no exception.  More than forty women religious gathered over Zoom this past weekend, January 15 – 17, 2021, led by Kelly Moline, OP and Sarah Cieplinski, SNDdeN.  From shared prayer to shared dance parties, our time together offered glimpses into what it means for each of us to live with prophetic hope. 

Del 15 al 17 de enero, las hermanas de Giving Voice de 40 a 49 años asistieron a un retiro virtual. Yo me uní a 29 hermanas de otras comunidades religiosas para reflexionar sobre el tema “Permanecer conectados en Dios”. Habiendo cumplido recientemente los 40 años, ingresé a un nuevo grupo coetáneo. Me dio gusto conocer a hermanas nuevas.

From January 15-17, Giving Voice sisters in their 40’s went on a virtual retreat. I joined 29 sisters from other religious communities in reflecting on the theme Remain Connected In Me. Having recently turned 40, I graduated to a new age group. I enjoyed meeting new sisters.

No importa cómo llegue a un evento de Giving Voice, siempre salgo más ligera y con los pies bien puestos en el suelo. El retiro más reciente para hermanas de 20 a 39 años sobre el tema de esperanza profética no fue la excepción. Más de cuarenta religiosas nos reunimos por Zoom el fin de semana del 15 al 17 de enero de 2021, dirigidas por Kelly Moline, OP y Sarah Cieplinski, SNDdeN. Entre la oración y los momentos de baile en grupo, nuestro tiempo juntas nos dio un vistazo de lo que significa para cada una de nosotras vivir con esperanza profética.
