In order to enable younger women religious to better connect, network and collaborate, Giving Voice will publish an online directory of Catholic sisters under fifty years of age who are in a Roman Catholic, canonical institute or society of vowed women religious. The deadline is Friday, October 27.
We're calling all young sisters to a time of deep sharing and action together!
The purpose of the World Day of Prayer for Vocations is to publicly celebrate vocations to ordained ministry and religious life in all its forms. Many parishes and religious institutes commemorate this day with prayer for vocations and vocation promotion events. Considering that 73% of women and men professing final vows participated in one or more parish activities and 88% served in one or more parish ministries before entering religious life, our presence and participation in activities that mark this special day is essential.
Leading up to the National Conference in July, Giving Voice is hosting spring PeerSpirit dialogue circles.
April: Healing Divisions: Contemplation and Action… How do we engage in this in our communities and in the wider world? How do we achieve this inner balance?
We want to welcome you to Giving Voice AND help get you set up for a great experience in our Spring Circle Conversations as well as our National Gathering.
Please join us on March 22nd 5:00PT/8:00ET on Zoom, an online conferencing and collaboration platform.
We will be introducing and using PeerSpirit circle process on our Zoom Call. This call is for those who are new to Giving Voice and those who would like a refresher about PeerSpirit Circle Process.
Our Agenda is:
On Tuesday, March 7th Giving Voice, in collaboration with the Religious Formation Conference (RFC), National Religious Vocation Conference (NRVC), Communicators for Women Religious (CWR), and the Center for Consecrated Life at Catholic Theological Union (CTU), will host a prayer service in the CTU atrium over the lunch period (approximately 11:45am-12:45pm) to kick-off the 2017 National Catholic Sisters Week (NCSW) March 8th – 14th.
Reflection by Sr. Patricia Crowley, OSB, Benedictine Sisters of Chicago
The retreat will include time for individual and communal prayer, shared reflection and conversation time as well as break time to have fun and get to know one another. Giving Voice uses the principles of The Circle Way as a basic format for our gatherings.
