Blessed is an Understatement

Can you believe that the fall season is already upon us?! With everything that has happened this year, it has flown by. I am not sure if that is a good or a bad thing. It has been awhile since I have had the time to write a blog post though! As soon as the rest of the staff was allowed back on campus in July, we were in the full swing of things with our 2020 Mount Raffle!

It was a HUGE success this year even though the Sisters were not allowed to sell in person at their parishes. It was very touching to see our supporters come together to make sure that the Sisters were taken care of! We even had a few friends of the Ursuline Sisters sell at parishes that allowed it with social distancing of course!! We are so thankful for those kind and amazing people!

It was also awesome to see all the Sisters work together to make sure all the raffle tickets were filled out and organized. Usually, that is my main job during the summer months, but with the pandemic and some of the staff working from home, the community made sure that a smooth system for filling out tickets was in place. Sister Mary McDermott led the charge and she had help from Sister Joyce Marie Cecil, Sister Nancy Murphy, Sister Rose Jean Powers, Sister Elaine Burke, Sister Lois Lindle, Sister Emma Ann Munsterman, Sister Amanda Rose Mahoney, Sister Melissa Tipmore and Sister George Mary Hagan. What a spectacular team!

It really is wonderful that even in the most trying of times, the Ursuline Sisters of Mount Saint Joseph unite as a community to help each other out. They truly never cease to amaze me. It is also great to know that our donors and supporters will go above and beyond for this organization. We would not be where we are today without them!
