Happy New Year!

Yes, that’s right.

We got more snow overnight and today was a “snow day.” The roads outside of town are terribly icy, and the wind is very gusty… so there’s a good chance school will be called off on Thursday as well.

On the plus side… several people reported hearing thunder with last night’s snow…. so the “Thunder Beings” are back with us.

Hence, this counted as a “spring snow,” not a winter snow. Yay!

The traditional “new year” is spring… so thunder is a harbinger of the new year, too. This past year has been difficult- with many deaths from COVID, much illness, and many families touched also by suicide/attempts.

So our prayers for this new year are for health and safety, especially for the children, youth and elders who are at risk.
