This summer, we, your Giving Voice Core Team, finally met for our Annual Face-to-Face meeting. As you could imagine, our 2020 meeting did not take place. Like many around the globe, we needed to become creative in order to adapt to these new times.
For the third year in a row, the Leadership Conference of Woman Religious (LCWR) invited Giving Voice to attend its National Assembly as a guest. For the second year in a row the assembly was virtual. Approximately 30 Giving Voice sisters participated in this year’s Assembly as guest, congregational leader, exhibitor, or a combination of these three. Here is one sister’s reflection on her experience this year.

The Core Team of Giving Voice sends warm greetings and blessings to you all!
This summer, Giving Voice is experiencing a number of transitions that we wanted to share with all of you.
During this spring 2021 lockdown, the Irish government made the celebration of Mass (aside from a wedding or funeral) an offense punishable by law. Having had a six-week lockdown earlier in the fall, which also resulted in the cessation of public Mass, we were already well connected to the underground Mass network. In those 135 days, we only had to watch Mass online twice. Only twice. We were the underground Church.

Here's what's happening from the Core Team:
- Core Team members serve an average of a 3 year term. Presently, there are 7 members on the Core Team who seek to serve Giving Voice and its mission.
- Did you know the Core Team meets monthly? We gather from 4 states A, NM, TX, IL and MI and two countries (USA & Ireland),
- Watch for Meet & Greet the Core Team Zoom Sessions in the Easter Season
-Giving Voice hired a Development Consultant, Angela White, from Johnson, Grossnickle and Associates, Inc. to help us create a sustainable financial future.
