RFC Congress 2023

Attending the Religious Formation Conference Congress 2023 on behalf of Giving Voice was a profoundly enriching journey, fostering a deep sense of connection. Interacting with numerous sisters from Giving Voice, their warmth and support, especially as newcomers, were truly cherished.

The conference provided a sacred space for contemplation and dialogue, reinforcing our collective dedication to spiritual development. Cardinal Robert McElroy’s insights into his Synod participation resonated, emphasizing Pope Francis’s call to transformation in the life of the Church through synodality. His words, “planting dreams, drawing forth prophecies and visions,” echoed throughout the transformative experience.

The Workshops proved both enriching and enlightening experiences, the last day we had an unplanned group discussion among Giving Voice sisters about the transformative opportunities and challenges within consecrated life.

As we reflected on the emerging landscape of religious life, the spirit of hope and deep listening prevailed. In these moments, I recalled the wisdom of our founder, Saint Mary Euphrasia: “Though old stars burn out and die, look to the new and even beyond.”

In a spirit of deep appreciation, an award was presented to Sr. Teresa Maya, CCVI, acknowledging her prophetic leadership and embracing ongoing formation as an integral part of her life’s journey.

The conference became a beacon, inspiring us to embrace the evolving journey of religious life with openness and resilience.
