What’s the big deal?
You may have been following the news as Pope Francis visits various Indigenous communities across Canada. His goal? To make an apology for the harms done by the Roman Catholic Church and by religious congregations/communities who ran boarding schools as part of a broader plan to exterminate Native peoples.
Yup…. as in genocide.
