The Final Post
As I am sitting here typing, the saying, “all good things must come to an end” keeps flashing in my mind. Over these past four years, I have had the pleasure and the honor to work for the Ursuline Sisters of Mount Saint Joseph. When I first started, I did not know anything about the Mount and the Sisters, but now, I believe that the people and the organization has forever made a mark on me. My time here has been a memorable one, but I am ready to close this chapter and begin a new one as a mom. Since giving birth in December, my life has completely changed, and I know that my daughter must be my main priority. Closing this chapter is not easy, but it is nice to know that I can come back to campus and visit when the COVID spread slows.
The Sisters are an amazing group of women who have showed me nothing but kindness and compassion. They have seen me go through some of the biggest milestones in my life such as getting married and becoming a mom, and they have been so supportive. A few of the Sisters even sent cards and gifts to my house after Eloise was born and it brought tears to my eyes. I will miss seeing the Sisters everyday and hearing their words of encouragement. They are truly a spectacular group of women.
I will also miss the amazing staff that I have gotten to know over the past few years. Every person that I have worked with has treated me with kindness and has gone above and beyond for me. Before I left, the Finance and Mission Advancement departments came together to throw me the most awesome baby shower. It is things like that that make you realize how lucky you are to work with good people.
I also want to thank our supporters and Facebook followers. It has been so fun to post on behalf of the Sisters and to get know each person’s connection to the Mount. The Sisters are also lucky to have such an amazing fan base.
As I sign off from “Maggie at the Mount” for the last time, I will say, it is not goodbye, it is I will see you later.
