Sisters celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a visit from the Irish saint

There’s nothing like a Catholic saint’s feast day that doubles as a reason to have a party. The Ursuline Sisters celebrated St. Patrick’s Day on March 17, 2022, with a party in Saint Joseph Villa and a simultaneous one in the Motherhouse dining room. Here are some pictures.

No one loves St. Patrick’s Day more than the very Irish Sister Michael Ann Monaghan. Sister Michael Ann volunteers in the Finance office, and the staff there prepared the parties for the Sisters.

Guests for the day had nothing to do with St. Patrick’s Day, but they brought smiles to the faces of Sister Amelia Stenger, left, and Sister Emma Anne Munsterman, second from right. Mike and Amanda Moore were visiting from Alaska. Sister Emma Anne taught Mike in the third grade at Christ the King School in Madisonville, Ky., where Sister Amelia was the principal.
