Leadership Initiatives Scholarship

Thank you to the Hilton Foundation. We are not offering program scholarships at this time. (December 2022.)

The Leadership Initiatives Scholarship, launched in May 2018, is meant to strengthen the mission of Giving Voice through our participants in three areas:

  • Leadership Skills Development: Scholarships may be used for opportunities involving work in mission, community, and the church, such as, but not limited to: a nonprofit administration certificate, leadership and theology programs, art hosting, or Circle Process training.

  • Relationship and Bridge-Building: To strengthen religious life between women from different congregations, scholarships may be used for an event or gathering that will actively create ways to foster relationships and community.

  • Language Skills: To increase proficiency in a non-native language to assist in ministry, church and religious life, scholarships may be used for language school courses, immersion programs, and other language-learning initiatives.

Requirements & Expectations for Scholarship Applicants

Applicants must be under the age of 50 at the time of submission, and belong to a canonical Catholic community of women religious based in or with a connection in the United States. Applicants do not have to have attended a Giving Voice gathering or be involved in other ways prior to submission.

Giving Voice cultivates venues for younger sisters to gather for prayer, relationship-building, support, leadership development, retreats, friendship, formation experiences, and ministry connections. To that end, we intend to multiply the fruits of the scholarships by asking awardees to bring their new knowledge and gifts back to the Giving Voice community, as outlined further in our application.

Scholarships are available for up to $1,000. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis.

If you have any questions please contact adminasst@giving-voice.org.

Please explain how you will creatively share your new ideas, knowledge, etc. with others.
