Job Description:

Giving Voice is a small non-profit organization that exists to connect Catholic Sisters under 50 through in-person retreats, gatherings and trainings, as well as connect online through our social media and web communities. Learn more on our website here: https://giving-voice.org/

Currently Giving Voice is hoping to expand our social media reach as well boost our fundraising abilities. We are seeking a skilled communicator with graphic designer experience to help us better reach our Sisters as well as a wider Catholic, and social justice & spirituality-seeking audience.

The Social Media intern will be expected to work closely with Giving Voice’s Communications Coordinator, and our Core Team of Catholic Sisters who serve as our Board of Directors.

Flexible hours and work location depending on life situation.

Upcoming Projects will include:

  • Creation of a Social Media Calendar
  • Use of social media and web analytics to track posts, create campaigns and attract a wider audience
  • Creation of online fundraising campaigns
  • Graphic design of an Annual Report
  • Creation of social media content including video
  • Story-telling through graphics, and text for our Leadership Initiative Scholarship Awardees
  • Other projects as they emerge

Qualifications: To qualify for this position we need to see a portfolio of social media work, including graphic design, photos, memes, a social media tool kit, etc. Knowledge of fundraising and development campaigns specifically through social media also desired.

Some College, University or Technical School required. Students welcome. Knowledge of, interest in, and respect for Catholic Sisters required, but you don’t have to be a practicing Catholic to apply.

 

Length: 1 year, 10-15 hours per week

Stipend: $15/hr
