40s Retreat Brings Together Sisters from 18 Communities, 9 Countries
Over Memorial Day weekend over 20 sisters from 18 different communities and 9 countries gathered at Seal Beach, California to pray and laugh with their peers, and continue intersectional dialogues between their diverse communities. “Where we’re going we don’t need roads: Pioneering Women, Carrying our Charisms into the Future”, the peer-led retreat for women religious between ages 40-49 featured prayer sessions, meditations and discussions, beginning Friday night reflecting on the question:
“What are our communities’ charisms? How do our communities’ charisms intersect and work on a global scale?”
