Giving Voice’s new social media Intern Ariel is designing new graphics for our social media accounts to help the world get to know our Sisters!
Join Giving Voice this Wednesday, March 10 at 6pm CST for an evening of prayer celebrating Women Religious! The service will feature prayerful song and reflections by Sisters Mary Haddad, RSM, Colleen Mattingly, ASCJ, and Romina Sapinoso, SC.
The event is being sponsored by the Center for the Study of Consecrated Life at Catholic Theological Union, Communicators for Women Religious, Institute of Religious Formation at Catholic Theological Union, Giving Voice, the National Religious Vocation Conference, and the Religious Formation Conference.
No matter how I come to a Giving Voice event, I go forth somehow both lighter and more grounded. The recent 20s and 30s retreat on the theme of prophetic hope was no exception. More than forty women religious gathered over Zoom this past weekend, January 15 – 17, 2021, led by Kelly Moline, OP and Sarah Cieplinski, SNDdeN. From shared prayer to shared dance parties, our time together offered glimpses into what it means for each of us to live with prophetic hope.
I, like so many people, feel like I’ve been living in an extended season of waiting: waiting for the COVID cases to decrease, waiting to hear if the upcoming semester would be virtual, and waiting to see family, friends, and sisters. In the midst of this waiting, I’ve found it hard to hang onto the prophetic hope that the Advent season carries.
